From our family to yours
The story of URIALEX began long before the company was created. It began with a family, two parents, and the joy of sharing a coordinated look.
Uriche and Alexandre loved dressing their family in coordinated outfits. For a celebration, an outing, or a keepsake photo, choosing matching clothes was a way to express their closeness and add a special touch to the moments they spent together.
But finding those outfits was often a challenge.
There were clothes for adults. There were clothes for children, too. Outfits truly designed for the whole family, in the same style and with sizes to fit everyone, were much harder to find.
To achieve the harmony they were looking for, Uriche and Alexandre sometimes had to turn to a private tailor. They needed to explain the design, choose the fabric, and arrange for each outfit to be made.
That experience sparked an idea: to make this joy more accessible to other families.
What if coordinated clothing were designed, from the very beginning, to bring parents and children together?
Two names, one shared vision
That idea became a name: URIALEX.
URI for Uriche. ALEX for Alexandre.
Bringing their names together reflects the spirit of the brand: two people combining their strengths to build a shared project inspired by their family life.
As parents of five children, they understand the different personalities, body shapes, and needs that come together in one household. Their ambition is to help everyone find their own outfit while sharing a style with the people they love.
Complementary backgrounds to build the brand
Originally from Cameroon and now based in Quebec, Uriche and Alexandre have built their lives around family, education, and the desire to start a business.
Alexandre studied industrial engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. Uriche developed her expertise in operations and supply chain management at Concordia University.
Their complementary backgrounds gave them the tools to turn their idea into a business: planning each stage, working with suppliers, monitoring production, and paying attention to details.
In 2026, their project took shape with the creation of URIALEX – Couture Familiale Inc.
A family idea, built day by day
Between the first ideas and the clothes ready to offer customers, there was research, travel, and many conversations.
Developing URIALEX led them to travel, meet partners, and explore different manufacturing possibilities. These efforts helped them refine their vision and develop their collections, step by step.
Next came reviewing samples, comparing measurements, and refining the designs. The roominess of a pair of trousers, the length of a garment, the placement of a button, or the reinforcement of a seam all prompted specific requests.
These details matter. They influence how an outfit fits, moves with the wearer, and becomes part of everyday life.
For Uriche and Alexandre, creating a family collection means thinking about the whole group while paying attention to each individual.
Our first outfits become your memories
The first sales to relatives, friends, and other families marked a special milestone: the project was moving beyond samples and boxes to become part of customers’ lives.
Then came the first partnerships with boutiques, conversations about sizing, and photos of families wearing URIALEX outfits.
Every piece of feedback helps them better understand expectations. Every photo is a reminder of why the brand was created: to celebrate the joy of being together.

URIALEX offers coordinated outfits for adults and children, guided by a belief rooted in its founders’ experience: sharing a style can be a beautiful way to celebrate family bonds.

Born from Uriche and Alexandre’s joy in dressing their own family, URIALEX now grows alongside the families who place their trust in it.
